Description

Isabelia pulchella

(aka Neolauchea puchella)
These little treasures are native to Brasil. These are members of a small genus that also includes virginalis and violacea (fmr. sophronitella). They have needle-like leaves on tiny pseudobulbs and “creep” along, rooting beautifully on cork plaques. Our flower picture doesn’t do it justice—the flowers open wide (they’re about dime-size) and are quite long-lasting. Unusual little orchids.

The blooming-size mounted division shown in Brenda’s hand is typical of what you’ll receive.
