Ascocentrum ampullaceum ‘Barbara’
There are about 13 species of Ascocentrum of which we’ve grown seven. This one has been the most reliable bloomer of the ones we’ve grown. There are different color varieties (white, orange, pink) and these are PINK. They are one of the smallest in the genus and even “large” multi-growth plants aren’t really all that large. We grow ours in intermediate to warm conditions in bright light (just a little less than the cattleyas and vandas) and they do well for us. What a colorful show they provide!
The blooming-sized division shown in Brenda’s hand is representative of what you’ll receive.
