Description

Plectrelminthus caudatus

When we saw a picture of one of these in bloom, it was immediately added to our “wish list”. Plectrelminthus is a monotypic genus, widespread in Africa. They were once called angraecums (not a huge surprise) but are more closely related to Aerangis. They prefer it warm and humid but need to dry out between watering. A loose bark mix works well, or they can be mounted.
