Description

Angraecum distichum

Fairly widespread in Africa, this wonderful miniature Angraecum is worth growing for its unique foliage alone! Like all in the section Dolabrifolia, the leaves are flat and imbricate and give a chain-like appearance. They look more like a Lockhartia than an Angraecum! Angcm. distichum produces small white upside down flowers—often many are open at once. They have a nice spicy fragrance. With time, these plants form beautiful clumps—and are an unusual and interesting addition to any orchid collection. They grow and bloom well in intermediate light and warm conditions.
