Description
Laelia pumila ‘Black Diamond’ HCC/AOS
Native to Brasil, Laelia pumila is in the section Hadrolaelia, a group of six species. It is a dwarf plant (though not exactly mini) that can grow in a fairly wide temperature range. We grow ours in warm temperatures (low of 58F, high of 94F) and they seem to love it. Laelia pumila has been extensively used in hybridizing; it’s easy to grow and produces large colorful flowers. ‘Black Diamond’ has especially good color. Ours tend to be fall bloomers.
