Description
Chiloschista exuperei
Chiloschistas are a favorite of ours; they are perhaps the hardiest and most free blooming leafless orchids there are. Though “leafless” they do occasionally sport a tiny leaf (typically dropped by maturity). The “tangle” of roots produces arching flower spikes covered with flowers. This is one of the more unusual plants you can have grace your orchid collection. Chiloschista exuperei is endemic to Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos where it grows in semi-deciduous and deciduous dry lowland forests and savanna-like woodlands at low elevation.
The mounted blooming-sized plant shown in Brenda’s hand is representative of what you’ll receive.
