Description
Maxillaria paranaensis
This is a very interesting miniature from Brazil; named for the Parana State of the country though it occurs in other parts of the country as well. It can grow in a rather wide range of temperatures in intermediate light. It’s an epiphyte with light green, slightly ridged pseudobulbs and thin leaves. The flowers on ours have always been plentiful; in the autumn. They stay close to the pseudobulbs never above the foliage. We’ve always grown them in small terra cotta pots.
