Description

Neobathiea grandidieriana

Neobathiea grandidieriana is commonly known by its former name Neobathiea filicornu.  These neat little plants are native to Madagascar and the Comoro Islands. Like most angraecoids, these have great long spurs on their mostly white flowers. Currently, there are six known species of Neobathiea – so it is a small genus. Also consistent with most angraecoids, this species is moth-pollinated in nature. The moth gets a “sweet treat” of nectar from the tip of the long spur as a reward for visiting. This is an interesting and unusual species every good collection should contain. Click here to learn more about this species.

You’ll receive a NBS plant mounted on natural cork.
