Description
Mystacidium braybonae
Endemic to the Soutspansberg Mountains in northern South Africa, these are beautiful little plants that even as mature adults, still fit into the “miniature” category. They grow well in intermediate temperatures and relatively low light. The area where they are from is seasonally dry and they require a light dormancy or rest in cultivation as well. When they’re in active growth and blooming, give them warmth and water. Look at the photo of it in situ [South Africa] by Lourens Grobler at http://www.orchidspecies.com/orphotdir/mystacidibraybourne.jpg They have beautiful white flowers and they’re fragrant, too!
