Description
Laelia briegeri
Cattleya [Laelia] briegeri
Sophronitis briegeri (2000), a.k.a. Hoffmannseggella briegeri (2002), a.k.a. Laelia briegeri (1973)
Whatever you call it; these are neat little plants with rich yellow flowers! Personally, I still think of it as a rupiculous Laelia and haven’t made the mental cross-over to calling it a rupiculous Cattleya. They grow in the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil. There is a free culture sheet on it from the Bakers at https://orchidculture.com/COD/FREE/FS139.html
Though we are currently out of blooming size divisions, we have these beauties in flask now. We’ll soon be offering flasks and seedlings!
