Description
Tillandsia chiapensis
This special Tillandsia is named for the state of Chiapas in southern Mexico where they grow. T. chiapensis can be an unusual find. This Tillandsia is a favorite of ours; it has soft grey-green foliage, is very easy to grow and bloom (in bright light) and is of moderate size (note the HUGE mass with our children when they were small). The pink spikes produce purple tubular flowers; they’re quite long lasting.
