Tillandsia cardenasii

This is a Tillandsia you don’t see available very often! We got our original plants in the early 90s…and just let them grow. They have grown and bloomed beautifully over the years. Our photo of the flower spike hardly does it justice – it’s really beautiful. This species grows on rocks and cliffs in the Bolivian Andean dry valleys. It is a pollinated by hummingbirds in nature. In doing some major changes in our greenhouse, we decided to divide it; and now have a few nice offsets available.
