Description

Capanemia superflua [formerly uliginosa]

Capanemia superflua has more flowers than plant on a well-grown specimen! We purchased our first plant as Capanemia uliginosa at the 1999 World Orchid Conference. It’s a small (some may say miniature), terete-leaved plant that produces an inflorescense with MANY delicate little flowers. They are native to southern Brasil and northern Argentina. We grow ours amidst our Aerangis in intermediate light and temperatures. They are lovely little plants that just get better with age! We grow two of the eight species of Capanemia, the other being Capanemia micromera which makes Capanemia superflua look giant!

We are selling near-blooming size plants mounted on cork.
