Cymbidiella rhodochila (pardalina)
Cymbidium-like growth—but this is no cymbidium! This choice plant is native to Eastern Madagascar—commonly growing with Platycerium madagascarensis (a staghorn fern) in palm trees. Not readily available, these are lovely plants that give a grand display of many green and red, lightly fragrant flowers. That’s my hand in with the flowers, so you can see they’re quite large—nearly 4" across. Ours bloom every spring.
