Chondrorhyncha discolor ‘Merlin’
Also known as Cochleanthes discolor, this neat little Central American species grows in the shade (for example—beneath other orchids!). It bears showy, fragrant, long-lasting flowers on short spikes. There is some variation in flower color between different plants. This one has a rich purple lip and creamy-colored sepals—a division of the one in the photo.
