Dendrobium
lichenastrum var. prenticei
This plant
has several synomyms. It has been known as Dendrobium lichenastrum var
prenticei and/or Dendrobium prenticei as well as Bulbophyllym lichenastrum
and Dockrillia lichenastrum. The name is derived from its lichen-like
habit of growing across rocks and branches in its native Australia. We
grow ours in slightly brighter than intermediate light, alongside
our other Dendrobium/Dockrillias and they are doing beautifully.
We havent bloomed ours yet, so what we suggest to see flower pictures
is to type Dendrobium lichenastrum in a Google Images
search. They are cute little things!
