Chiloschista sweelimii
     Native to Malaysia, sweelimii has nice yellow with reddish brown spots - very pretty! Chiloschistas are perhaps the hardiest and most free blooming leafless orchid there are. Though “leafless” they do occasionally sport a tiny leaf. The “tangle” of roots produce arching flower spikes covered with 1/2" flowers. This is one of the more unusual plants you can have grace your orchid collection. We sent one of these to Selby Gardens this spring and it was verified as being Chiloschista sweelimii (and got an official OIC number).
