Aerangis somalensis
These are rare
and wonderful beauty that are not readily available, and were VERY
excited about them. These are native to Ethiopia, Kenya (+). They prefer
it on the bright side (for aerangis), and need a rather pronounced winter
dormancy (drier). These do not have to be very large to reach blooming
size, and we're told that mature plants often bloom twice per year (ours
are not yet "mature"). Isobyl la Croix recommends growing these
mounted because their thick roots tend to rot when potted. Weve
followed her advice and theyre doing beautifully!
