Impatiens paucidentata is an uncommon one with a red "elf-shoe" look!

 Impatiens paucidentata
This is NOT your average-looking Impatiens and it is very uncommon. Though we grow it potted (in a free-draining soil), in nature it grows as an epiphyte! It’s native to a small area of rainforest in central Africa. We’re growing it alongside our orchids in a warm to intermediate greenhouse; max. highs in the 90s and min. night lows in the 50s. It blooms regularly for us and WOW—the flowers are outstanding.
