Impatiens cinnabarina has beautiful orange flowers with a long spur.

 Impatiens cinnabarina
We were given a rooted cutting by a friend a few years ago and it has grown AND bloomed very well for us despite some challenging conditions we’ve provided. We regularly let it get overly dry...and yet it recovers and blooms for us. As a matter of fact, it’s hardly ever out of bloom. It’s native to a small area of Tanzania and though I’ve read it’s from a rainforest area, I suspect there are dry periods; as it seems perfectly adapted to it; it develops tubors.
